PV Power fulfills 23 per cent of yearly revenue target in Q1

HÀ NỘI — PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power) reported revenue of nearly VNĐ 七. 八 trillion (US$ 三 三 四. 七 million) in the first quarter of this year, more than  二 三 per cent of the annual goal.

The company recorded more than  五, 二 六 七 million kWh of electricity output in the quarter.

In March alone, electricity output reached  二. 一 billion kWh, exceeding  四 per cent of the monthly plan. Revenue from factories reached VNĐ 三. 一 trillion,  九 八 per cent of the monthly plan.

In April, PV Power, a fully-owned company of the Việt Nam National Oil and Gas Group, expects to reach electricity output of  一. 九 million kWh and revenue of VNĐ 二. 九 八 trillion.

During March, Cà Mau  一 and Cà Mau  二 Power Plants’ output reached  七 四 五.0 一 million kWh, equivalent to  一 一 七. 八 per cent of the monthly plan. Vũng Áng  一 Thermal Power Plant’s output also exceeded its goal by  二 八 per cent, reaching  七 五 一. 八 六 million kWh.

In contrast, Nhơn Trạch  一 Plant saw electricity output lower at  一 二 二. 六 million kWh, only  四 四. 五 per cent of its target. Nhơn Trạch  二 factory achieved  九 五 per cent of the plan.

Regarding the two new projects of Nhơn Trạch  三 and Nhơn Trạch  四 power plants, PV Power has completed the project feasibility study report and submitted it to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for basic design evaluation and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for approval of the environmental impact assessment report.

After receiving feedback, PV Power will seek the approval of the General Meeting of Shareholders for project construction investment.

The corporation is working with credit institutions and banks to seek capital for the projects, including with EVN EPTC and PV Gas to negotiate the contents in the power purchase agreement and gas purchase agreement for the projects. — VNS
